maybe, but a few of us suggested the Metropole in Blacpool. We are certainly gonna keep in touch and arrange something, maybe not next year but certainly 2010.

The Metropole would be good, it's only down the road, every time we drive past I say we should see if we can get in for a nose around.

The Metropole would be handy for me too (three miles down the road!).

We'd be in good company too. The Metropole is usually full of old people saying how things were better in the old days!

Hello Alex,
You got it right when you said I'd be having a few weeks off to recover. The first week, I spent sleeping. The second week, I spent catching up on some of the things I'd neglected over the last six months. The third week, I had to put my writing head on, and have just done the latest issue of the Laurel & Hardy Magazine - which comes out at the end of the month; written material for one of England's top comics; compiled a Redcoat Reunion report and photopage on my website (go to: http://butlinsredcoats.com/ ); and listed several Butlins' postcards and badges on EBAY. My seller ID is MARCHIVE. Type that in, then get bidding. Star attraction is a 1949 Clacton badge.
Before closing, I'd just like to say a personal "Thank you" to you, for your support and advertising leading up to the Reunion, without which, some of the lovely Redcoats who attended, might not have done so.

As for the next Reunion, I will make an annoucement on this site 4 weeks from now!!
HAPPY DAYS!
