Being a Butlin Redcoat in those Hi-De-Hi Days of the 50s 60s and 70s was never boring as there was aways Many ,Many different duties to do,such Variety one didnt have time to be bored.
One l had to do for two seasons of my six was to be "The Outlaw",or "Chief Running Bear",or later at Skeggy "Capt Blood".
The little Beavers would chase you around the Camp till you were caught and thrown into the Pool, alright in Summer But brrrrr cold in September,
lt was nice to see the little Beavers and the Campers enjoying themselves, and today many of those little Beavers are parents and Grandparents
l have added a few photos of the occasion,l wouldnt have changed those 6 seasons at Butlins for all the tea in Tesco's l mean China
