OH MY GOD cant belive how ayr has changed At least i have my memories IM glad that i never went back and remember it how it was in the good old days

Yes probably not a good idea to go back just cherish your memories. The now & then photos are a few years old now & sadly the camp has been further decimated during that time.
I decided to go back to Pwllheli, now Haven Hafan Y Mor, in October 2011. It broke my heart to see the place in such a state, no life, no fun & a load of caravans. At least when I went they still had some Butlins chalets which were used for half board but in the last few months Haven have stopped half board there & knocked all the remaining chalets down :(
My friend who is from Glasgow had many happy memories of Ayr but when she went to Craig Tara in April 2011 she had a similar experience to me. She said it was so bad she had to buy her children toys from the shop to play with in the caravan cos there was absolutely nothing to do except for activities that cost a fortune.

I wouldn't write Minehead off yet Dee will have you chained to Sir Billy's chalet with her to stop the bulldozers rolling in.
